About Dead Pixel Check

Dead Pixel Check is a free screen diagnostics toolbox for monitors, laptops, phones, TVs and handhelds. It began with a simple observation: most pixel-test sites show five colored slides and stop, leaving you to figure out what a dot means, whether it's fixable, and what to tell the seller. We built the missing second half — diagnosis, an honest fixer, and local, dated reports.

What's here

• An interactive problem identifier that turns "I saw a dot" into a likely cause and a next step;
• A stuck pixel fixer that is upfront about what it can and cannot fix;

Privacy

Every test runs entirely in your browser. There are no accounts, no uploads and no database — reports are generated on your device and drafts live in your browser's local storage. Test screens never show ads.

What we don't claim

A browser cannot measure a panel like lab equipment can: these are structured visual tests, and results depend on your eyes and viewing conditions. We also never claim software can repair true dead pixels — it can't — and reports generated here are informational, not an official inspection or a legal document.
